1. Trinity College Dublin — Global Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships

Amount: Up to €5,000 (one-time, first year only)

Trinity's flagship undergraduate scholarship targets high-achieving non-EU students across most programmes. The award applies as a tuition fee reduction for the first year of study only, meaning students pay full fees in subsequent years.

Who qualifies:

Non-EU students paying international tuition rates with conditional or firm offers. Students from China, India, and USA must apply to their country-specific scholarships instead. Excluded programmes include Medicine, Dentistry, and Acting courses.

How to apply:

Submit via email to your Trinity Regional Manager after receiving an offer. Required documents include your offer letter, 200-word statement on "How I will contribute to our Trinity College Dublin community," and CV/resume. All documents must include your name and Trinity Application ID.

Deadlines:

Non-EU European applicants face a June 15 deadline in the intended entry year. All other regions are assessed on a rolling basis depending on budget availability, making early application crucial. Based on 2025-2026 patterns, expect similar structures for 2026-2027.

2. University of Galway Merit-Based Scholarship

Amount: €1,000 to €10,000 per year, or up to 50% tuition reduction

University of Galway operates two tiers: merit scholarships (automatic, lower values) and excellence scholarships (competitive, higher values). Values vary significantly by college.
