8 Undergraduate Scholarships in Ireland for International Students

1- Trinity College Dublin Foundation Scholarship

Students may take an exam in their 2nd year of undergraduate (called “Senior Fresh” in Ireland) to qualify for the Foundation Scholarship. It is extremely competitive and only about 60 students get the scholarship each year, but it awards free accommodation, a free dinner each day, a % off their tuition, and an annual stipend.

2- University of Galway Regional Scholarships

The University of Galway offers unique scholarships for students based on their country of origin. There are multiple scholarships for students from East Asia, Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, North America, and Central/South America.

3- University of Galway Merit-Based Scholarship

The scholarship amount for high-achieving students varies from €1,000 up to 50% tuition fee waivers. You must have already accepted your offer to study at UoG to apply for this scholarship, but if your grades are exceptionally high you will have a good chance!

4- University of Limerick Indian Student Scholarships

The Kemmy Business School (KBS) ‘Jim Kemmy India Scholarship’ is available to undergraduate Indian students. This generous scholarship is worth approx. €4,279 (students will only pay €8,000 tuition fees per year) and is available to students for the four years of the Degree programme (providing progressions rates are reached).The requirements for the scholarship are as follows: average grade of 75% or above in Standard X & XII including English and Math. 5- Irish Refugee Council Scholarship Database

The Irish Refugee Council maintains scholarship resources for refugee students to study in Ireland (even if you do not have formal refugee status yet). More details are here.

6- Maynooth University Undergraduate Scholarship

The scholarship comprises a 2,000 Euro per year reduction in the undergraduate non-EU tuition fee. More details are here.
