It's a fully-integrated program that focuses on the psychosocial, personal and spiritual development of the individual. The main advantage of this program is that it equips students with both theoretical background and hands-on skills to work effectively as a counsellor.

The curriculum covers various subjects such as theories and approaches to counselling, counselling skills training, and specific areas of counselling like children, adolescents, couples and families, and older people. Students will develop effective counselling skills, learn to build a positive client alliance, and understand how to use the therapeutic relationship as an organising focus for treatment. The program also includes a placement in a counselling agency with supervised practice and a minimum of 128 hours of face-to-face client contact.

Upon graduation, students can work as a professional counsellor, registered with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation Australia (PACFA) and/or the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). They can work in various roles such as Counsellor, Family Therapist, Grief Counsellor, or Youth Counsellor in industries like healthcare, education, or social services, and with employers like hospitals, schools, or community organisations.
