The BFA in Design combines academic rigor with robust design training by introducing students to a range of challenging design topics through dynamic, relevant, and hands-on projects and instruction. Skills and topics include fibers, fabrics, textile testing, and garment construction (including tailoring, flat patterning, draping, machine sewing, advanced construction techniques), ideation and conceptual development, fashion Illustration, and portfolio development.
