Midway University’s Secondary Education program offers three areas of emphasis for students to choose from – Biology, English, and Mathematics. While core curriculum develops your general knowledge in the areas of critical thinking, literacy, mathematics, natural sciences, art and humanities, and the social sciences, elective coursework explores your specific field. Upon completion of this secondary teacher education program, you will be ready to seek certification to be a teacher in Kentucky. Students wishing to seek certification in other states should contact that state’s teacher certification granting agency for information on specific requirements.
