The Early Childhood Education Program is a two-year non-degree training for students who want to work with children 0-12 years old in Manitoba child care settings. This program is offered at the University of Saint Boniface in Canada and is taught in English. The main advantage of this program is the hands-on experience gained through apprenticeships and internships.

The curriculum includes written tests, essays, presentations, and team work to evaluate student progress. Students will learn about child development, education, and care, and will participate in internships every semester to gain practical experience. A work placement supervisor will provide support and guidance throughout the program.

Graduates of this program can pursue careers as childcare workers, preschool teachers, education coordinators, child and youth workers, or daycare center directors. They can work in child care settings, schools, or community organizations, and may be eligible for Rank III under the Manitoba Day Nurseries Act, which can lead to management positions in Manitoba.
