Izmir Katip Çelebi University

Bachelor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

İzmir, Turkey Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Electrical and Electronics Engineering covers the study and design of systems that generate, transmit, and use electrical energy, as well as the electronic circuits and devices found in computing, communication, and control systems. Students study circuit theory, electromagnetism, electronics, digital logic design, control systems, and signal processing, building a foundation that spans both power systems and the smaller-scale electronic devices used in consumer and industrial technology. Laboratory coursework allows students to build and test circuits, work with microcontrollers, and apply theoretical concepts to physical systems, while mathematics and physics courses support the more advanced engineering subjects introduced in later years. As the program progresses, students often encounter more specialized topics such as telecommunications, power electronics, renewable energy systems, or embedded systems, depending on the curriculum and available electives. Graduates of electrical and electronics engineering programs pursue careers in power generation and distribution, telecommunications, electronics design and manufacturing, automation and control systems, and research and development roles across a wide range of industries that depend on electrical and electronic technology. This program is delivered in English at Izmir Katip Çelebi University, located in İzmir, Turkey, and runs for 4 years. Students benefit from engineering laboratories and facilities within a university situated in İzmir, a major industrial and coastal city in Turkey.
