The Gas Tech 2: Theory 3 & 4 program at Canadore College is a 14-week non-degree course for students who want to complete the theoretical components of the Gas Technician 2 certification. This program is for students who have completed the prerequisite course GAS200 and are looking to gain the knowledge and skills needed to work on equipment up to 400,000 BTHU.

The curriculum includes theoretical courses that cover various aspects of gas technology, including gas safety, equipment operation, and system design. Students will develop skills in troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of gas equipment. The program is taught in English and provides students with a permanent Gas Technician ticket upon successful completion.

Upon completion of the program, students can work as Gas Technicians, Gas Engineers, HVAC Engineers, or Appliance Installation Technicians. They can find employment in industries such as oil and gas, construction, or manufacturing, and can work for employers such as utility companies, construction firms, or appliance manufacturers.
