Students are orientated to the nurse’s professional obligations in meeting all Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) codes, standards, and guidelines and to meet their legal and ethical obligations as a registered nurse. They explore critical thinking, clinical reasoning, reflection, and the use of current evidence and research to make sound clinical judgments in order to practice safely in a complex health environment. Medication management, pharmacology and the relationship to physiology and pathophysiology are addressed.
