Independent Living (Pathways) – 21301 23

The Independent Living program at Bedford College is for students who want to learn skills to live independently. It's a non-degree program that takes one year to complete and is taught in English. The main advantage of this program is that it helps students develop essential life skills.

The curriculum includes subjects that help students learn to take care of themselves and live on their own. Students will develop skills such as cooking, cleaning, and managing their time. The program also includes hands-on components where students can practice what they learn.

After completing this program, students can work as Support Workers, Care Assistants, or Personal Assistants. They can find jobs in care homes, hospitals, or private households. Some students may also work as Disability Support Workers or Home Care Workers, helping people with disabilities or elderly people to live independently.
