Level 2 Childcare

The Level 2 Childcare program at Belfast Metropolitan College is for students who want to work with children. This one-year non-degree program is taught in English and helps students gain practical skills.

Students learn about child development, health and safety, and how to plan activities for children. They also get hands-on experience in childcare settings, which helps them develop the skills they need to care for children.

After completing this program, students can work as childcare assistants, nursery workers, or playgroup leaders. They can find jobs in nurseries, schools, or childcare centers, working with children of different ages and needs.
