Links to the Community is a course tailored for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who are preparing for their next steps after college. This full-time program lasts for one year and focuses on developing independence skills, travel training, and practical English and maths for everyday life. Ideal for students who thrive in supportive environments, this course offers opportunities for volunteering and social engagement, helping learners build confidence and prepare for adulthood.

The curriculum includes core modules such as Access to Volunteering, Health and Wellbeing, Independence and Employment Skills, and Travel Training. Students will engage in practical activities that enhance their life skills, such as cooking and managing personal finances. Additionally, they will have the chance to participate in community visits and hear from guest speakers, which enriches their learning experience and prepares them for future opportunities.

Graduates of this program can pursue various pathways, including volunteering roles in the community and supported employment opportunities.
