📚 About the Program

How can organisations adapt their communication to reach diverse, international target groups? How can communication promote inclusivity? This English-taught Master’s programme provides you with the knowledge and tools to investigate such questions. In the Master’s specialisation in Global Communication and Diversity, you’ll learn to operate as an independent communication specialist who can work in and with organisations to develop effective stakeholder communications and communication strategy. You’ll develop your knowledge base, and the skills and tools needed to design and conduct systematic communication research independently, and to formulate and implement tailor-made recommendations to optimise communication with diverse target groups in and by organisations. You'll explore themes such as the impact of globalisation and diversity on communication (e.g. in marketing and advertising, recruitment communication, corporate communication), the role of intercultural awareness in effective international communication, and the consequences of language choice for effective and inclusive communication with international stakeholders. In doing so, you'll gain insight into the factors that can affect an organisation's communication with diverse publics and its reputation and performance in international settings.
