Students in the Music Education-Instrumental program gain the skills needed to become proficient in teaching young people to play brass, woodwind, string, and percussion instruments. Our music teachers share their knowledge with learners in grades K-12 and are prepared to teach general music courses, helping their learners develop a greater appreciation of music in all its forms. Musical training can reduce stress, improve memory, increase time management, organizational and team-building skills, and improve overall academic performance.
