Graduate training in sociology provides a solid foundation for flexible career development locally, regionally, and nationally. In this program, you will gain a valuable set of reasoning and communication skills and a powerful set of analysis tools with which to study the issues and problems of modern social life. Our goal is to provide advanced training for work as applied social scientist outside of academia, as in government administrative jobs, research departments, or community programs. Some of our students also go on to teach at community colleges. The Department offers the 30-credit Online M.A. program in Sociology in a non-thesis format.
