Since 2021, Maryland has been increasing its education funding by billions of dollars per year to improve student outcomes and the overall quality of education. To meet both goals, school systems throughout the state of Maryland need nearly 2,000 new middle and high school teachers every year through 2030. Stevenson University Online’s Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a STEM focus prepares you for initial certification in secondary education (grades 7-12). Our online master’s program is designed for conditionally certified teachers, recent graduates, and career changers. Through a combination of online coursework, authentic field experiences, and a teaching internship, students gain the knowledge, skills, and disposition to engage and inspire students in collaborative, innovative, and project-based learning.
