First subject Swedish as a second language The subject orientation Swedish as a second language and learning focuses on subject didactic knowledge of second language development, second language grammar, literature, writing and speaking. The subject studies in Swedish as a second language comprise 120 ECTS credits and, in addition to authorization to teach in grades 7-9 and upper secondary school, also confer authorization to teach Swedish for immigrants (sfi).
