Supporting Older Workers into Work

This course is designed for individuals over 50 who are looking to re-enter the workforce. It spans 11 days and focuses on enhancing skills and confidence to help older workers find meaningful employment. The program is delivered at various locations across the South East and East of England, making it accessible for many. Ideal candidates are those who are unemployed and receiving benefits or earning under £25,000 per year.

The curriculum includes six units that cover essential skills for employment. Topics include making informed career choices, budgeting, and understanding citizenship. Additionally, the course offers practical training in CV writing and interview techniques. By participating, learners will develop interpersonal skills and gain a better understanding of community dynamics, which are crucial for workplace success.

Graduates of this program can pursue jobs in various sectors, including retail, hospitality, and security.
