Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

This course is designed for aspiring assessors, admin staff, managers, HR, or quality assurance personnel who want to understand the assessment process and best practices. It is ideal for those currently working with a training provider or those who have some awareness of assessment. The blended learning format allows flexibility while ensuring comprehensive coverage of essential topics.

Students will explore various subjects, including the principles and requirements of assessment, planning assessments, and understanding different types of assessment. The course consists of one unit and requires personal research and study. Assignments will be completed following attendance at three delivery sessions, and each learner will have access to a personal tutor for guidance.

Graduates of this course can pursue further TAQA Level 3 units or transition into teacher training courses. Potential job titles include Assessor, Quality Assurance Officer, and Training Coordinator.
