Master in Aerospace engineering and astronautics

Aerospace Engineering and Astronautics at the Polish Air Force Academy is a master's degree taught in English in Poland, running for three semesters, with annual tuition of 3500.0 EUR. The Aeronautics and Aerospace field of study is open to both military and civilian students; full-time and extramural second-degree courses last three semesters, and civilian courses offer a specialisation in operation of aircraft. Instruction covers the most advanced structural systems, using innovative technologies and technical solutions based on advanced materials, computer technology, electronics, and diagnostic systems intended to keep flying objects safe and reliable. Subjects taught in the course include mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering graphics and design representation, general mechanics, strength of materials and structures, aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, flight mechanics, basics of electro-technology, basic electronics, basic automation, thermodynamics, basic machine design, and the construction and design of flying objects. Further coursework addresses aircraft and aerospace engines, aircraft equipment, aviation and aerospace technology, aviation materials, operation of aircraft, aircraft structural optimisation, and management of flying-object operations. Graduates typically go on to work in civil and military aviation, ground services, operation of aviation equipment, and the aviation industry, including manufacturing plants and maintenance units. Aerospace engineering as a discipline combines mechanical, electrical, and materials engineering to design, build, and maintain aircraft and spacecraft, and graduates from programmes in this field are trained to work with both the structural and operational sides of aviation technology, supporting the safe functioning of aircraft throughout their service life.
