This program is grounded in evidence-based practice and prepares students for clinical application in athletic training. Students complete year-round coursework and gain hands-on experience through structured clinical rotations. The curriculum aligns with standards set by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and CAATE. Graduates are prepared to sit for the national Board of Certification examination.

Graduates enter roles as certified athletic trainers in settings such as hospitals, colleges, secondary schools, professional sports, and public safety organizations.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a field other than athletic training and have completed specific prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.8 is required. All application materials must be submitted through ATCAS by February 1 for summer admission.

The programme totals about 63 credit hours. Campus-based, full-time, two years. For international students, tuition is above the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 75% of applicants.
