King’s College has 1,945 undergraduate and graduate students, with 60% living on campus. Founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross from the University of Notre Dame, King’s combines Catholic education with more than 70 academic programs, including undergraduate, graduate, and certificate options. Programs span business, accounting, biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, athletic training, genetic counseling, and other fields. Classes average 15 students in major programs and 22 in the CORE curriculum. The full-time faculty-to-student ratio is 13:1, 92% of faculty have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree, and 61% hold tenure.

The campus has seven residential facilities, four on-campus restaurants, the George P. Maffei II Theatre, and the Widmann Art Gallery. Wilkes-Barre is a small city with restaurants, arts and sports venues, parks, trails, and slopes, with access to Philadelphia and Trenton in about two hours and New York City and Baltimore in about three.
