Students study human movement through anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and biophysics. They also learn biomechanics, motor behavior, motor development, coordination, and neurophysiology.

The field applies to exercise and therapeutic rehabilitation. Graduates may work on performance research, rehabilitative therapies, and diagnostic and rehabilitative methods and equipment.
