About Manhattanville College

Manhattanville’s campus covers more than 90 acres in Purchase, a suburban area just outside New York City. Students can take part in community events at locations including Reid Castle and the Berman Center, while the Center for Design Thinking supports activities and learning on campus. The setting offers access to the New York metropolitan area while maintaining a distinct campus environment. The university has a rich history in the liberal arts and connects that foundation with professional education. Its School of Nursing and Health Sciences prepares students for nursing, radiography, family nurse practitioner, nurse leadership, and public health careers. Undergraduate students can choose from three degrees in nursing and radiography, with an accelerated format available for some students with previous training. Graduate students can pursue online master’s programs in Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Leader, and Public Health, along with an online Advanced Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate. Health professions education combines clinical practice, patient-centered care, holistic health, and design thinking. Students use six clinical learning labs that are less than five years old and gain experience through more than 10 clinical placement sites across the New York metropolitan area. Programs include training in technical procedures, integrated management, and patient care, with an emphasis on inter-professional collaboration. Students can also optionally pursue certification in holistic nursing. International students considering Manhattanville should note the mix of campus-based undergraduate study and online graduate and certificate options, as well as the school’s location near New York City.
