It takes only 4 years to get 3 degrees including two Bachelor Degrees:one from ECUST and one from a chosen JMD partner university, plus one optional Master Degree from any chosen university in the JMD-bridged country.

I. Academic Highlights

• The programme in Visual Communication Design seeks to develop exceptional, internationally focused, application-focused creative talents in visual design. While fostering students' design skills, it also considers the development of design concepts and methodologies, the accumulation of professional knowledge, the evolution of The Times, the highlighting of the qualities of brand visual design, and the bolstering of industry-university-research cooperation, disciplinary innovation integration, and practice.

• Teaching specialization in visual communication design integrates classroom instruction with extracurricular activities in a dialectic manner, emphasizing the progressive and multiple knowledge structure.

• The construction focuses on fostering students' creativity and practice ability, interdisciplinary integration ability, and independent thinking ability. It does this by leveraging Shanghai's advantage as an international metropolis, the discipline coordination of the university's pertinent specialty specialties, and the strength of outstanding teachers both domestically and internationally.

• To create a systematic professional knowledge system, it uses visual creative design, artificial intelligence visual design, dynamic visual design, interactive visual design, and integrated visual design. II.Educational Objectives

• This programme is committed to cultivating talents with a sense of social responsibility, all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical, beauty and labor, adapting to the needs of the national modernization construction and the professional talent market of design, possessing the correct concept of art design, systematically mastering the necessary theoretical knowledge, basic skills and practical ability of design for this programme. Have a strong innovative thinking, international vision, team spirit, professional quality and market awareness. Guide students to master advanced professional knowledge of visual communication design, advocate independent thinking, innovative spirit and teamwork, and become a new generation of innovative and practical visual communication design outstanding talents.
• Graduates can systematically master the basic theoretical knowledge and skills necessary for the programme, and understand the scientific and technological development, literary and artistic trends, humanities and history knowledge related to the programme; It can be engaged in the design, management, research and teaching of visual creative design, artificial intelligence visual design, visual creativity and design, brand design, packaging design, dynamic image design, publication design, illustration design, etc. It can also be engaged in interactive information design, film and television post-production, UI interface design and other emerging media design.

III. Eligibility Check:

• • 1.International students who hold foreign passports;
• • 2.Completed high school with a high school diploma or higher academic qualifications;
• • 3.No criminal records and in good physical and mental health;
• • 4.Aged 16 or above, for applicants who are under 18 need to provide a a letter of guarantee from a legally recognized adult guardian residing in China.

IV. Language Requirements:

• • 1.Proof of English - IELTS ≥6.0/ TOEFL ≥80 or other equivalent is needed for English-taught programmes.
• • 2. Applicants who have no language scores need to take additional language courses.

V. Scholarship

Overview:

Founded in 1952, East China University of Science and Technology（ECUST） is located in Shanghai, an economic, financial, commercial as well as a shipping center of China.

ECUST devotes itself to develop international cooperation and has established long-term and extensive academic exchanges and joint training cooperation with more than 200 universities, colleges, enterprises, and research institutions from all over the world, including the United States, Germany, Britain, France, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Australia, etc.

Academics:

It has a strong tradition of working with industries. The university is now developing into a multi-disciplinary higher educational institution with a balanced curriculum of science, engineering, economics, management, law, humanities, and arts spread across 15 academic schools.

The university offers 13 first level and 81 second-level doctoral programs, 25 first level, and 147 second-level master programs and 65 undergraduate programs. The total number of full-time students has reached around 24,140, including 15,460 undergraduates, 7,110 postgraduates studying for master's degrees, and 1,570 Ph.D. candidates.

Since 2007 the university has operated an exchange programme with the Technical University of Applied Sciences Lübeck in Germany. ECUST also operates a joint programme with L'École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie in Rennes and a joint business school with the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu in Romania.
