Personal Information Protection Officers Programme

This programme trains professionals to work as personal information protection officers in public or private organizations. It covers all parts of privacy management, from collecting data to destroying it. The focus is on managing risks, being open about practices, setting up good governance, and following laws in Quebec, Canada, and around the world. Training happens in twelve sessions, each lasting 3.5 hours, over three months.

Participants study key laws like Quebec's LADOPPRP, LPRPDÉ, and LCCJTI. They also learn Canada's LPRPSP, international rules such as GDPR and ISO 27701, and ideas like Privacy-by-design. They gain skills in writing privacy policies, handling risks, responding to data incidents, and making communication plans for crises. Tools they use include audit processes, access controls, and incident registries.

The programme runs online from September 18 to December 4, 2026. Registration ends on September 4, 2026. A college diploma and two years of work experience are recommended. Participants need a computer with a camera and microphone. The cost is $3,150 for regular registration or $2,835 if you sign up early.
