This programme is designed for individuals seeking to enter the electrical trade but facing challenges securing employment. Students learn foundational electrical theories and principles essential for first-year apprentices. They develop hands-on wiring skills and receive training in safety practices for electrical systems. The programme prepares students to enter an apprenticeship and challenge the first-year electrician exam.

12 weeks, 15 credits, full-time, no co-op or practicum stated.

Graduates enter roles as electrician apprentices in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Applicants must have Math 20-1, Math 20-2, or Math 20-3, English Language Arts 20-1 or 20-2, and Science 10. International applicants must provide proof of meeting admission requirements and demonstrate English language proficiency.
