Bachelor in Recursos Hidricos

Alcorcón, Spain Taught in Spanish Open to international students

About the Program

Recursos Hidricos is the engineering and management study of freshwater systems — how water moves through landscapes, how it is stored, distributed, and treated, and how its use is governed in the face of competing demands and climate variability. Programs in this field typically cover hydrology, hydraulics, groundwater science, irrigation engineering, water supply and treatment infrastructure, river basin management, and the legal and international frameworks around water rights. Graduates work in water utilities, environmental consultancies, public works agencies, river basin authorities, and international development organisations. Water resource management has become more complex as demand grows, aquifers deplete, and rainfall patterns shift. Students learn to model the behaviour of catchments and aquifers, to design infrastructure for safe water supply and flood control, and to engage with the multi-stakeholder processes through which water allocation decisions are made. Fieldwork and data analysis are important components of training in this discipline. This 4-year bachelor's degree carries a yearly tuition of 1,240.80 EUR. It is located at Rey Juan Carlos University in Móstoles, Spain.
