📖Program Curriculum

You will have access to excellent facilities financial databases and extensive information technology to support your learning journey. You will be taught using a variety of methods by leading researchers and academics who have worked professionally in the accounting and finance industry. Furthermore external accounting and finance professionals will be invited to deliver sessions to develop your wider real-world knowledge and contacts. From the first day of your degree course you will be encouraged to think critically allowing you to analyse real-world business issues to provide optimal solutions. You can also take advantage of the work placement option where you will be fully supported to secure a 12-month work placement to develop your employability profile through implementing what you have learnt in a real-world business setting.

The course is mainly delivered through a combination of lectures workshops and seminars. You can expect to have a minimum of 12 hours contact time with academic staff during each teaching week. You will also be expected to undertake independent study and group work and participate in online activities and discussions using our virtual learning environment.

In your first year you will learn the core principles of finance accounting economics and Management which will provide you with a solid theoretical grounding as well as relevant skills to apply this knowledge to business practice. We will also support you to develop your business analytical and quantitative skills which will provide a solid foundation to your learning in years two and three.

During your second year you will build and integrate the skills and knowledge gained to examine a wide range of accounting and finance issues including financial reporting corporate finance and management accounting. Optional modules will focus on topical issues which include Accounting Information Systems Investment and Portfolio Management and Personal Finance and Banking.

In your third year you will develop your analytical skills and expertise with more specialised modules which will include taxation auditing advanced accounting practice and regulation and advanced corporate finance. As in the second year you will have the option of choosing some modules which focus on a range of contemporary business issues which include corporate governance financial technology and financial statement analysis.

What will you study on this course?
In Year 1 students will take 120 credits from the following topics Discover Economics Principles of Management and Organisation Business Analytics Principles of Financial Accounting and Principles of Management Accounting. There are optional modules available in topics such as Financial Techniques and Analysis and Personal Finance and Banking . Students can also choose optional modules from other Business School level 4 modules or from elsewhere in the University subject to timetabling constraints.

In Year 2 students will take 120 credits from the following topics Management Accounting and Corporate Finance. There are optional modules available in topics such as Commercial awareness and insight of work Econometrics Financial Accounting Investment and Portfolio Management and Management & Accounting Information Systems. Students can also choose optional modules from other Business School level 5 modules or from elsewhere in the University subject to timetabling constraints and pre-requisites.

In Year 3 students will take 120 credits from topics such as Taxation. There are also optional modules available in topics such as Corporate Governance Financial Statement Analysis and FinTech in banking finance investment insurance and regulation.. Students can also choose optional modules from other Business School level 6 modules or from elsewhere in the University subject to timetabling constraints and pre-requisites.

Entry Requirements

You are not eligible to apply to this program because:

The minimum age is 18.

English fluency is required.
You need to be either:
- A native English speaker
- Studied a degree in English before
- Can demonstrate a high level of English
- Having an English certificate such as IELTS level 6 or TOEFL 95 and above is an advantage.

Minimum education level: High School.

The program is competitive, you need to have a high grades of Average A, 70%, or a high GPA.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to Global Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
