Adelphi University is a private university in Garden City, New York. Adelphi also has centers in Manhattan, Hudson Valley, and Suffolk County. There is also a virtual, online campus for remote students. It is the oldest institution of higher education in suburban Long Island. Founded in 1896, Adelphi University were the first private, coeducational university on Long Island. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. Throughout the decades, the University welcomed students from around the globe, expanded its academic offerings and geographic reach, and celebrated significant milestones in diversity, rankings, and successful outcomes.
