Master’s in Aviation Transport (2 years) at Riga Technical University

Professional Master study programme “Air Transport” provides the level of knowledge that complies with the requirements related to performing certain responsibilities defined by the professional standard, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and European Commission Regulation No 2042/2003. The scope and content of the study programme complies with the requirements defined by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) of the Republic of Latvia, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia and with the professional standard: Aircraft Maintenance Mechanical Engineer or Aircraft Maintenance Avionics Engineer. The goal of the study program is to provide the education required for the specialists of the air transport field, who would promote the renovation and maintenance of air transport field infrastructure, execution of works related to the maintenance of aircraft mechanisms and avionic systems, analysis and design of systems operation. The study programme comprises lectures on fundamental subjects, field theoretical and specialized subjects; practical classes on the operating principles, design and maintenance of aeronautical equipment. The acquired knowledge has to be applied during practical placement (outside the educational institution) for solving practical problems. The minimum age is 18.

English fluency is required.
You need to be either:

The program is competitive, you need to have a high grades of Average A, 70%, or a high GPA.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to Global Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
