Become a leader in athletic training and allied health professions. Enhance the health and wellness of the individuals and communities you serve. You’ll develop competencies in injury and illness prevention; wellness promotion; examination, assessment, and diagnosis; immediate and emergency care; therapeutic intervention; and health care administration and professional responsibility. This is a five-semester, continuous enrollment program with immersive clinical experiences embedded in the curriculum. The Master of Science in Athletic Training (M.S.A.T.) degree is designed to meet the needs of an entry-level athletic trainer. The program is designed to assist students with integrating compassionate care, ethical intelligence, leadership qualities, knowledge, and a vast array of clinical experiences in athletic training. All students are required to have a bachelor’s degree prior to starting the program. This is a 5-semester continuous enrollment program with immersive clinical experiences embedded in the curriculum. Students will gain experience in diverse clinical settings as well as an international experience. The athletic training student’s professional preparation is directed toward the development of specific competencies in the following domains: injury and illness prevention and wellness promotion, examination, assessment and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, therapeutic intervention, and health care administration and professional responsibility.
