The Graduate Diploma of Theological Studies provides a detailed overview of Christianity through the study of scripture, church history, biblical studies and morality. The program consists of eight courses and can be completed in one year of full-time study or the equivalent part-time. The course is available at our Fremantle Campus or online using Notre Dame’s e-learning portal. Theology has always held a central place in the life and mission of the Christian community. It is through Theology that the Church comes to understand its own faith and explains that faith to others. This highly focussed program therefore appeals to students who wish to pursue a career in church ministry, counselling, teaching in a Catholic school or pastoral care. The Graduate Diploma of Theological Studies is designed for those with no previous background in theological studies, who wish to update their knowledge, are preparing for or involved in pastoral ministry, or wish to pursue such studies for reasons of personal and spiritual growth. Since 2017, this program has been available as a fully online blended learning program for domestic and international students, with all eight courses available via the University’s Blackboard e-learning portal. The minimum age is 18.
English fluency is required. You need to be either: - A native English speaker - Studied a degree in English before - Can demonstrate a high level of English - Having an English certificate such as IELTS level 6 or TOEFL 95 and above is an advantage.
Minimum education level: Bachelor's.
The program is quite competitive, you need to have a high grades of Average B, 60%, or a high GPA.

Once submitted to Global Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification
After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.
The university may contact you directly for further questions.
We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.
After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.
Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
