Introduction

Augsburg University’s Minneapolis campus connects learning with the surrounding neighborhood and wider world. Students contribute on campus and off campus through consulting projects, field placements, and practicums. The Augsburg Experience centers on learning by doing, with knowledge and skills applied to real-world problems. The university also offers opportunities across athletics, arts, and campus community life.

Graduate education has served students for three decades. Small learning communities bring students into cohorts where they share experiences and work with professors and classmates to deepen their understanding of complex problems. Faculty value students’ life experiences, while alumni connections extend into a broad and growing network. Graduate programs are designed to accommodate working professionals through evening and weekend classes, as well as hybrid, online, and distance learning.

Academic options include business and leadership programs such as the MBA and Master of Arts in Leadership; education degrees focused on collaborative and culturally relevant teaching; and fine arts programs in creative writing and music therapy. Health programs include nursing, physician assistant studies, social work, clinical psychology, and medical science. Students from different cultures and backgrounds are addressed particularly in the health curriculum through intercultural preparation and integrative care. International students should review the format and requirements of their chosen program, since schedules and delivery modes vary by degree.
