Healthcare education has shaped Bellin College since its founding in 1909. The nonprofit college focuses on health sciences, with programs spanning undergraduate nursing, nursing assistance, diagnostic medical sonography, radiation therapy, radiologic sciences and surgical assisting. Graduate options include nursing programs, the Doctor of Nursing Practice, physical therapy degrees, an orthopaedic and manual physical therapy fellowship, and post-graduate certificates.
Students prepare for professional practice through classroom, laboratory and clinical settings. Faculty support critical thinking and introduce students to current healthcare innovations. Clinical learning forms part of several programs. Nursing assistant students, for example, complete hands-on clinical experience in a hospital or nursing home setting and may become eligible for the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Competency Examination. The college also offers a Healthcare Academy and CASTLE, a center providing academic coaching, writing help and career development support such as resume and interview assistance.
Bellin College operates on the Resch Campus on Eaton Road and the Van Asten Campus on Development Drive in Green Bay. Student resources include advising, accommodation services, information technology services, mental health and wellness resources, student support services, organizations and clubs. Admissions staff work with undergraduate, graduate nursing and graduate physical therapy applicants. International students should note that the academic offering is concentrated in healthcare and that many programs combine academic study with practical clinical preparation. Graduates are prepared to contribute to their professions, communities and society, with opportunities to continue learning and develop as healthcare leaders.
