Berry College

Professional preparation is part of Berry’s connected learning model. Students begin by developing time-management and reflection skills, then apply their studies to academic and professional goals. Internships, campus employment, mentored research, study abroad and community-based projects help students test interests and build practical experience. Wesley Romero, a 2024 accounting graduate, accepted a position with Georgia-Pacific after a summer internship and credited involvement, networking and his LifeWorks job with supporting his career success.

Academic work often takes place alongside faculty mentors. Berry students explore questions connected to their fields, receive research grants and contribute to projects that deepen their knowledge. Student achievement includes Hannah Blanton’s Goldwater Scholarship while pursuing a Ph.D. in microbiology. These opportunities support students preparing for further study as well as professional careers.

The Berry campus in Mount Berry, Georgia, provides a broad setting for study and work-based learning. Distinct environments and ecosystems, surrounding waterways, architecture and facilities form part of the educational experience. The campus offers space for research and outdoor learning, while Berry’s four-year approach encourages students to connect academic work with personal and professional goals. International students can include study abroad, internships and community projects in that path, working with faculty, staff and peers as they shape their own direction.
