Franklin College

Franklin College has provided liberal arts education since 1834 and became Indiana’s first coeducational college in 1842. Its community includes more than 900 students, with a 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio and an average class size of 15. Faculty offer individual mentoring focused on internships, job placement and preparation for meaningful careers. Inclusivity, intellectual curiosity, integrity, innovation and community are among the college’s stated values.

Students can choose from more than 50 majors across 24 academic disciplines. Academic strengths include multimedia journalism at the Pulliam School of Journalism, business programs focused on current and future employment, and elementary education with clinical field opportunities. The Project Management Certificate adds training in project scope, scheduling, budgeting, risk, Agile methods and communication, with real-world simulations, internships, project teams and preparation for the CAPM exam.

The residential campus covers 207 acres and includes athletic fields and a 31-acre biology woodland. Franklin College is located about 20 minutes south of Indianapolis, providing access to businesses and organizations in the city while retaining a small-town setting. Welcome Week introduces new students to campus resources, faculty and staff, student organizations and college technology. Admitted international students pay their enrollment deposit through Flywire.
