Hebrew College

Hebrew College’s work centers on immersing in Torah and bringing Jewish learning into daily life. It connects students, faculty, and alumni through an ongoing conversation about Jewish tradition and living while engaging questions raised by the present. Its public work includes the Speaking Torah podcast, newsletters, holiday teachings, and projects in music and art, extending learning beyond formal courses.

As a graduate school, Hebrew College prepares Jewish leaders, professionals, and lifelong learners. Graduate leadership degrees sit alongside community education for adults and teens and professional development. Areas represented in its learning include Jewish tradition and history, social justice, Israel, arts, Hebrew language, and leadership for prayer and communal life. The academic environment is pluralistic, with open inquiry, intellectual rigor, personal engagement, and spiritual creativity.

The college is located at 1860 Washington Street in Newton, Massachusetts, where it shares a campus created with area Jewish organizations for Jewish life. This setting places study in the Boston area and links the college with communal institutions. International students should note the school’s focus on Jewish leadership, community participation, and lifelong learning. Alumni serve as Jewish leaders and learners around the world.
