Lycoming College

Lycoming College places undergraduate research and applied learning at the center of its academic experience. Students can choose from more than 100 majors, minors, and programs, with opportunities to extend classroom learning through internships, research, or study abroad. Recent student experiences include astronomy research at the Koobi Fora Field School in Kenya, multiple internships connected to criminal justice, and a business and economics pathway leading to admission to an MBA program at Rochester Institute of Technology.

The college emphasizes close personal support within a small-campus environment. A 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio gives students regular access to faculty, while the campus community aims to challenge and encourage students by name. International students can consider study abroad as part of their academic experience and explore programs that connect disciplines, professional interests, and research. Lycoming also supports students who want to continue competing in college athletics through Division III sports.

Located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Lycoming offers a campus setting with a Quad and virtual tour for prospective students. Its application options include the Lyco Fast App, which uses a short form and campus visit rather than an essay or test scores, with decisions provided within two weeks. Students seeking a close-knit college experience can combine broad academic choice with practical preparation for graduate study, service careers, and other professional paths.
