Morningside University

Research and experiential learning are central to Morningside’s academic approach. Six academic schools cover agriculture and aviation, arts and sciences, business, nursing and health sciences, education, and visual and performing arts. Undergraduate options include computer science, cybersecurity, biomedical sciences, nursing, public health, professional flight, studio art, music, business, education, and a range of pre-professional pathways. Students can take part in internships, externships, peer mentoring, academic support, and research. The university provides each full-time undergraduate student with a new computer and full-service technology support.

The Sioux City campus connects classroom study with community involvement. Students participate in clubs, athletics, arts, civic activities, and volunteer projects across Siouxland. The annual Into the Streets event brings students together to work with nonprofits and local organizations. Morningside also offers a close-knit campus environment and personalized experiences, with a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio.

International students work with a dedicated admissions counselor during the application process. Morningside offers financial aid options for undergraduate and graduate students, though eligibility varies by student type. Current students can apply for study-abroad programs in locations including Japan, Northern Ireland, Switzerland, and countries served through CIEE. Some programs teach in English, while others include language study. May Term courses combine distinctive subjects with travel, and at least one May Term class is required for graduation.
