Spring Hill College

Spring Hill College began in 1830 as Alabama’s first institution of higher learning and the first Catholic college in the Southeast. Its Jesuit, Catholic tradition focuses on learning, faith, justice and service, with attention to the whole person. Students are encouraged to develop their values, leadership skills, critical thinking and confidence while preparing for career and personal goals.

The College offers more than 45 undergraduate programs across a range of subjects, along with graduate degrees, accelerated tracks and online learning. A liberal arts core supports study across disciplines, while internships, service, networking and career mentoring connect classroom learning with practical experience. Average classes have 13 students, and the 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio supports personal guidance from faculty members. Learning communities bring together students with shared interests and goals.

The campus is located at 4000 Dauphin Street in Mobile, Alabama. Spring Hill describes its campus as close-knit and active, with opportunities for service, leadership, extracurricular involvement and real-world experience. International students can add a global dimension through study abroad at the Spring Hill College Italy Center in Bologna, which combines academic and cultural experiences. The College also offers programs for adult learners and online students. Financial support is widely available, with nearly 100% of students receiving financial aid and all applications reviewed for merit awards.
