Texas College

Texas College traces its history to 1894, when it was founded by the Colored Methodist Episcopal Church, now the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Its mission continues to reflect the principles of that denomination while preparing students for lifelong learning, leadership, and service. Intellectual, spiritual, ethical, moral, and social development are central to the college's educational purpose.

Academic programs are organized across Business and Social Sciences, General Studies and Humanities, Education, and Natural and Computational Sciences. Texas College offers 12 baccalaureate degree programs and two associate degree programs. Instruction uses different modalities and focuses on the competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities connected to each area of study. Academic achievement is recognized through Presidential Scholar, Dean's List, and Honor Roll distinctions.

Located in Tyler, Texas, the college presents a culturally diverse and inclusive environment for students who aspire to become purpose-driven, financially secure, and marketable leaders. Its core values include academic excellence, community service, tolerance, social responsibility, perseverance, and integrity. International students should expect an institution where academic study is connected with personal development, service, and leadership, within a Christian Methodist Episcopal context.
