The New School

The New School brings together several academic communities, including Parsons School of Design, Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, the College of Performing Arts, The New School for Social Research, the Schools of Public Engagement, and Parsons Paris. Students, alumni, and faculty work across scholarly research, creative practice, and scholarship, with projects addressing global and social concerns. The university’s 34 academic centers and institutes support work that crosses conventional disciplinary boundaries.

Located at 66 West 12th Street in Greenwich Village, The New School places students in the heart of New York City. The city forms part of the student experience, offering opportunities to explore, question established ideas, and find inspiration beyond the classroom. Student-made videos, stories, playlists, and interactive maps provide insight into daily life and the wider community. For prospective international students, the university includes several distinct colleges and schools, so the academic setting depends on the chosen program. Students graduate with creative problem-solving skills and can draw on stories from entrepreneurial alumni when considering life after graduation. The New School also offers a financial aid guarantee for all programs, with institutional scholarships and grants remaining the same for the duration of a program even if financial circumstances change.
