Mitchell College

Mitchell College has developed a broad educational model for students at different points in their academic and professional journeys. Its offerings span two- and four-year degree programs, degree completion, pre-college preparation, post-college readiness, and career skills training. Academic support includes advising, the Bentsen Learning Center, transition programs, and career development services. Students can also pursue professional studies in Health and Human Services or Business, or take career-focused courses through Mitchell Hub.

Learning at Mitchell connects classroom study with practical experience. Students can explore internship opportunities, project-based learning, faculty-guided case analysis, and the Mitchell Ability Model, which builds adaptability and confidence across the curriculum. The Master of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership prepares professionals for leadership in mission-driven organizations, nonprofit institutions, community-based enterprises, and other settings. Its curriculum covers ethical and intercultural leadership, strategic communication, organizational design, crisis communication, operations, and organizational transformation.

The college is located on a waterfront campus on the Thames River in New London, Connecticut. International applicants complete the Mitchell College Application and submit translated secondary transcripts, along with proof of English proficiency when required. Minimum scores include 75 on the TOEFL, 6.0 on the IELTS, 90 on the Duolingo English Test, or 53 on the PTE. Mitchell welcomes students from around the world, but it does not operate as an English-language school or issue Form I-20s for ESL study. F-1 applicants must provide a valid passport, certification of finances, and bank documentation before an I-20 is issued.
