Master in Art Teacher Education (Master's)

Queens College, part of the City University of New York, supports research across science, education, health, the environment, and the humanities. Current work includes plans to build Queens’ first cleanroom with nanofabrication capabilities, funding for the CUNY Asian American and Asian American Research Institute at QC, and a program that trains teachers in science education. The college also has centers devoted to Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, Jewish Studies, Italian American Studies, and health and environmental research.

Academic options cover fields from computer science, biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, and business to art, design, film, drama, languages, literature, economics, education, and communication sciences and disorders. Undergraduate students can choose from 78 majors, while graduate students have access to more than 100 master’s degrees and over 40 accelerated master’s programs. Computer science offers BA, BS, and combined BA and MA pathways. Business administration includes concentrations in actuarial studies, finance, and international business.

The campus occupies 80 acres in the heart of Queens and includes 36 buildings, providing a traditional college campus setting within New York City. Facilities include LeFrak Concert Hall and Colden Auditorium, with performances and cultural events on campus and in nearby Queens parks. International students join a community represented by students from places including Guyana and Greece. Queens College also provides immigrant student support and a Global Student Success Program, alongside faculty advising for interdisciplinary study.
