Master in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies (Master's)

New Mexico State University was New Mexico’s first land-grant university and remains focused on advancing knowledge and serving communities. The Carnegie Foundation recognizes NMSU as both a research institution and a Community-Engaged institution. It is also a NASA Space Grant College, a Hispanic-serving institution and a minority-serving institution. NMSU houses New Mexico’s first Honors College. Academic choices include more than 180 undergraduate majors, over 170 minors and 120 graduate fields of study. Students can select from more than 4,400 courses across 54 academic departments, as well as online courses across more than 60 programs. Faculty and students work together on research projects addressing current challenges, with recent work including cancer research in the Southwest and produced-water research and community education. The main campus is in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and NMSU also operates three branch campuses and 12 research and science centers across the state.
