Douglas College

Bachelor in Future Professional Pilots (Associate Degree)

Canada Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Aspiring pilots who want to pair their flight training with a robust academic foundation will thrive in this unique, dual-track Associate of Arts program. By blending university-transferable coursework with hands-on aviation training, you will build the critical thinking, meteorological knowledge, and business acumen required for success in the modern aviation industry.

A Dual-Institution Partnership

This program is delivered through a strategic partnership between Douglas College and the Professional Flight Centre at Boundary Bay Airport. While you complete your Associate of Arts degree through Douglas College’s academic curriculum, you simultaneously undertake ground and flight instruction. This integrated approach ensures you graduate not only with a solid liberal arts background but also with the flight experience necessary to pursue a Commercial Pilot License and Multi-Engine Instrument Rating.

The curriculum emphasizes subjects highly relevant to the cockpit, including geography for weather and climate analysis, psychology for cognitive performance, and commerce for professional management skills. Please note that students manage their enrolment and tuition separately for both the college and the flight training centre.
