Students in the bachelor's programme in academic esports at UiA's campus Grimstad can train at the campus Kristiansand's facilities for physical training. The programme develops transferable skills from gaming that are applicable in various contexts, including business and public service. The curriculum covers training, recovery, and performance, as well as the role of esports in society, related technology, and its application in education and professional life. The sixth semester is dedicated to a bachelor thesis, with specialisations available in esports athlete, coach or managing, the industry and ecosystem related to esports, technology and innovation, and education and healthcare.

Learning is mainly face-to-face, with one day per course held at campus Kristiansand, and a 10ECTS module each semester encourages students to create their own learning plans or undertake internships.
