Academy Business Enterprise

The Academy Business Enterprise Programme at UCOL is designed for secondary school learners eager to explore entrepreneurship. This Level 3 program allows students to develop a business from the ground up while earning NCEA credits. Ideal for those who thrive in hands-on environments, this program combines practical experience with academic learning, making it perfect for students interested in business careers.

Throughout the program, students will engage in various activities, including creating marketing plans and participating in pitch evenings. They will take on key roles within a business team, such as marketing director or finance director, which helps them build essential skills in leadership, teamwork, and innovation. This practical approach prepares students for the fast-paced business world and equips them with the knowledge needed for further studies.

Graduates of the Academy Business Enterprise Programme can pursue various pathways, including the New Zealand Certificate in Business (Administration and Technology) or the Bachelor of Applied Management.
