Academy Year

The Academy Year program at Bard College Berlin is a 1-year non-degree program for high school graduates who want to explore undergraduate studies in the humanities. It offers a unique opportunity to study in an international environment, engaging with a diverse community and gaining insights into various disciplines.

Participants take part in the core curriculum, covering essential intellectual movements in the humanities, and can choose from elective courses in literature, arts, economics, politics, and social sciences. Language study in German is also available, catering to all proficiency levels.

Graduates can pursue further studies in humanities or related fields, finding opportunities as research assistants, cultural coordinators, or educators. The skills gained are transferable across industries, making graduates adaptable in a global job market.
